The National Petroleum Distribution Company announced in a statement: The process of withdrawing and loading liquefied gas from this facility is normal and ongoing, and the incident has not caused any disruption to the liquefied gas distribution operations.
According to Mehr News Agency, following the fire incident in the Rey liquefied gas tank that occurred last week, the National Petroleum Distribution Company of Iran issued a statement; the statement reads:
“Following the previous statement issued regarding the incident on Wednesday (February 20) in one of the tanks of the Rey liquefied gas facility, we inform our dear compatriots that the fire has been controlled by operational and safety teams without causing any damage or spreading to the facility, and the liquefied gas in the tanks is currently being safely evacuated.”
The incident occurred at around 10:30 AM while technical and operational colleagues were opening the safety valves of the liquefied gas tank. The incident was brought under complete control with the continuous efforts of the operational teams and the use of all firefighting capacities and equipment.
Fortunately, the process of removing and loading liquefied gas from this facility is now normal and ongoing, and this incident has not caused any disruption to the liquefied gas distribution operations.
Unfortunately, in this incident, one of the company’s operational colleagues was burned and injured during repairs and is undergoing treatment in the hospital with special follow-up.
